Old turquoise, coral chip inlay bracelet with stylized kachinas or yeis, HMIJ, Gilbert Ortega

A great, old bracelet, chip inlay with a complex design of dancers, kachinas or yeis, mountains or clouds, inset with crushed turquoise and coral. The bracelet is big, thick & wide, with a domed top surface which allows the inlay. The bracelet is marked on the inside with a Kachina head & “HMIJ (‘Hand Made Indian Jewelry), a mark used by the Gilbert Ortega companies, in Arizona and New Mexico. The bracelet is in very good old condition. It measures approximately 2″ wide and will fit a large-ish wrist, about 6 1/4″ inside circumference with a current opening of 1 3/4.”
