Jemez Pueblo pottery Nativity – On Sale!

A charming 9 piece Pueblo pottery Nativity.  Not signed but judging by the micaceous clay, it was probably made at Jemez Pueblo.  The tallest figure, Joseph, is 2″ tall.  An element sometimes found in Pueblo pottery is the use of hide.  I think Mary’s shawl is hide that was added and painted to match.  All the pieces are in excellent condition.  The exact age is unknown but I would guess it was made in the 1980s or so.
