A WOW! piece of vintage Norwegian jewelry, an elegant ring from one of the Georg Jensen shops. Marked 14 kt gold set with an intense blue lapis lazuli stone. Not a common Jensen mark, this is signed on the inside of the shank with what I believe is an early Jensen mark, an intertwined “GJ” in script. Aside from just the mark, the work, elegance and balance of this ring, says “Jensen.” If you know of another maker who might have used this “GJ,” please feel free to contact me with information.
The stone platform is about 5/8″ across the lapis top to bottom and side to side as the ring is worn. The ring is a wearable size 10 and weighs 11.2 grams. Sold as-is, as described, a great old ring.
