A charming photograph of children posed with a “skin horse.” An early gelatin silver real photo postcard, circa 1910. The photographer’s mark is just visible in the lower left of the card as shown. The whole mark is not clear but it looks like the photographer is “A Tom Guerra” and labeling on the back of the card indicates that the card was made in Italy. The frame is also wonderful, with a purple velvet inner mat and carved flower with gold touches in the right corner. The card is approximately 3 3/8″ x 5 3/8″ and the frame is 10 1/2″ x 8 3/4.” The card is a little small for the frame and it could be recentered but the whole piece is in good shape overall with normal wear for it’s age, mostly to the purple velvet.
