From Guerrero, Mexico, a wonderfully weird leather mask of a canine, I think. Dog, wolf, coyote? Shaped over a wood mold when the hide was wet, these leather masks from Guerrero were usually painted but I liked the sculptural quality of the unpainted leather. Ca. 1970s.
Approximately 11″ x 13″ x 8″ deep at the forehead. Simple wood stand is included.
