Santo Domingo Pueblo pottery pig by Ione Coriz

Ione Coriz is the daughter of Hilda and Arthur Coriz and a niece of Robert Tenorio, a family of skilled potters at Santo Domingo Pueblo.  Ione often creates whimsical work like this dapper little piggy, with a cheerful smile, a jaunty attitude and lots of personality.  He is 2 7/8″ tall x 2 1/4″ arm to arm (front hoof to other front hoof) x 1 1/2″ thick or deep, back to nose.  Note that he has has been professionally restored so he is in excellent, restored condition.   He is signed on the bottom of a foot/hoof, “Ione Coriz” and what I think is a butterfly symbol on the other.
