Wonderful example of antique Native American pueblo pottery, a large old Acoma olla. This came out of a collection where the collector said they purchased it from the Lewis family. Beautiful from every angle but if you spin it gently and watch the rim, there’s a charming undulation. Polychrome decoration with natural pigments. The pot shows light wear from use with a gorgeous old crackled surface and warm patina. About 8 3/4″ tall x about 10″ wide at the shoulder. Excellent antique condition with expected wear.
