Book, Burbank Among the Indians, hardcover, dust jacket

From the foreward that Charles Lummis wrote for this book, “…it is entirely within bounds to say that no one has at all rivaled Burbank as an historical painter of Indians….He can not only see but understand…(his subjects)…are to him not merely line and color, but human character.”  So, written by E.A. Burbank as told by Ernest Royce with accompanying reproduced paintings and drawings depicting the Native American Indians that E.A. got to know.

The book is in good to very good condition overall.  The pages are clean, red cloth covers are tidy, the binding is sturdy.  A previous owner’s name is written in ink on the front page, along with an earlier “5.00” price in pen, then crossed out in pencil.  The dust jacket is in fair condition with small tears and rubs , small losses and some deterioration of the colored front page.  But, sturdy and readable.
