Big old Papago, Tohono O’odham owl basket

Great figural basket made by a Tohono O’odham, Papago Indian artist. Four-color polychrome basket of yucca, devil’s claw and a red fiber, possibly sumac or willow. This owl is extra nifty as his head lifts off as the lid. Just over 9″ tall with his head on x 7″ across his wings. In excellent vintage condition.
